Some thoughts from John Conner on the value of these exercises:

"I've always thought that the best way to practice what you've learned is to ask and answer questions that are chock-full of great grammar and vocabulary. Even reading a beautifully constructed question aloud will help to make new phrases and concepts become a part of you. These questions you see here have been field-tested by my own students. I hope you find them helpful!

I begin each and every class I teach with these 'Groups of Two' questions. There is simply no faster path to fluency than SPEAKING, SPEAKING, SPEAKING!"

Directions:

The exercises below contain two sets of questions that highlight the grammatical structures and vocabulary from each lesson in the BTB series.   Working with a partner, alternate asking and answering each question. When you get to the bottom of each list, start over at the top, switching roles. If you're working alone, it's easy to vary this exercise by writing out the answers.
