During the past couple of years our travels have taken us to places where we had virtually no grasp of the language. We found ourselves:
- Disappointed that we couldn’t speak directly to the people we met
- Frustrated that we couldn’t adequately ask and answer questions
- Irritated by our inability to read the signs!
These experiences prompted us to think long and hard about precisely what we would want in a pocket-sized language guide. What collection of words and phrases would give us exactly what we needed to become “survivors?” And here’s the result! The OASIS – in Spanish and French.

Product Update:
Last fall we went all the way to one of Spain's best recording studios and recruited native speakers from Ecuador, Colombia, and France to create CD sets to go along with the Oasis. Every phrase in each booklet is spoken in English and then translated into Spanish or French by a native speaker. The CDs are divided into useful sections, just like the Oasis itself. It's great for quizzing yourself, practicing your pronunciation, expanding vocabulary, and getting ready for basic conversations. Speakers of all ages and levels will fall in love with it.
